welcoming baby girl Fiona Catherine!
February 26, 2009
near:
- processing our amazing birth
- all of us feeling awe that she’s finally here!
- falling in love
far:
- trying to drink away my swollen legs and ankles
- rearranging yet more furniture, making nooks and niches for girls big and little
- being amused at the fact that she’s moving so much, even people at the post office notice!

As a midwife, no matter how many babies I have seen emerge into the world each one is such a miracle. Welcome to your own little miracle.

My son was a mover in the womb as well. Sometimes it was embarrassing to have my belly suddenly wriggling about – but mostly people absolutely love seeing this.
